Hey Cavers, Earth Day is coming up at the end of April so that means the Saturday before, April 19th, is Fault Cave Clean Up Day!
Come out and help clean up an important cave to keep it safe and nice(ish) for all those who come and visit it. Fault is looking pretty unloved lately so all the help to conserve Colorado’s caves is appreciated!! This “party” cave is visited by spelunkers year round but still deserves some TLC from us.
Plan to meet at the base of the trail to Fault on the 19th at 9:45 AM. The turn-off to park is around mile marker 270 on 6th, in Golden. Bring your own cave gear and I will provide everything we need for cleaning out our project. The hike to Fault takes about 15 minutes of steep hiking.
First-time cavers are welcome! Bring your friends and have fun poking around the breakdown when we are finished. If you need any loaner gear please let me know.
ALSO IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS FOR CLEANING GRAFFITI OFF OF THE ROCK PLEASE POST YOUR IDEAS IN THE COMMENTS 🙂
